WELCH MIXED USE

Owners: Central Area Development Association; Lorig AssociatesArchitect: Hewitt Architects A pivotal project in Seattle’s Central Area, Welch Plaza is named after the Welch family that has been a fixture of this neighborhood. This mixed use residential/retail project was designed by Hewitt Architects and includes both market rate and affordable housing. Stephen Day worked with clients Central Area Development Association (CADA) and Lorig Associates and assisted in crafting the development team’s partnership strategy and early project structuring for this unique collaboration between Lorig, a highly regarded for-profit developer, and CADA, a highly regarded non-profit developer.
